Once again, the judges have spoken. And ENR Southeast is honored to announce this year's winners in for our 2013 Best Projects contest.
Before we do that, we'd like to recognize our judges, who each gave a considerable amount of their time to reviewing the more than 70 entries for this year's contest. This year's group included:
- Tim Ackert, project director with the City of Orlando;
- Will Caulder, senior vice president, Rodgers Builders, Charlotte, N.C.;
- Taras Diakiwski, vice president, Plaza Construction, Miami;
- Ian Kinnear, chief engineer, Professional Service Industries, Orlando;
- Howard Wertheimer, director of capital planning and space management, the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta; and
- Mark Wylie, president and CEO of ABC of Central Florida, Orlando.

After each judge scored all entries, the panel then met to review the results and come to a group consensus on the winners. Ultimately, they chose 25 projects for this special recognition. (A separate panel of judges will determine this year's safety award winner, to be announced soon.)
As always, all of the winning projects will be highlighted in the upcoming November issue of ENR Southeast. And, of course, these projects will be recognized at our annual Best Projects Awards Luncheon, to be held Nov. 8 in Orlando. For more about this event, including registration information, click here.
Now, here are this year's winners, listed by category, along with the name of the submitting firm. Congrats to all!
