"The Lake Charles area is experiencing significant growth and, likely, the associated challenges," Clouatre says. One of the area's biggest projects is Sasol's $8-billion petrochemical complex, where Cajun is "performing sitework, piling, underground utilities, concrete foundations and infrastructure," plus "EPC services for a new construction dock," he says. Cajun received notice to proceed a month ago and has nearly 100 personnel on site, ramping up to 1,500 over the next year. "Once fully under way, that could reach 5,000-6,000 craft, possibly more."
