New England Conservatory plans to build a 135,000-sq-ft residence hall and performance center in Boston. The two-building project will include 252 beds, a dining commons with performance stage, a library, three performance rehearsal spaces, a 200-seat black box theater, an orchestra rehearsal room and an assembly recording room. Carpenter & Co. plans to build the 30 Dalton Street Residences in Boston. The 400,000-sq-ft project will include 255 residential units as well as ground floor retail space. Rhode Island
Brown University Dept. of Facilities Management, University of Rhode Island (URI) and Rhode Island College (RIC) plan to redevelop the former South Street Power Station in Providence into 120,000 sq ft of administrative offices for Brown University and a joint RIC/URI nursing education center. The project will also include graduate student housing, retail space, restaurants and new parking facilities. The project is valued at $206 million. Okemo Mountain Resort LLC plans to construct two new ski lifts and seven new ski trails at the Ludlow-based resort. The project is valued at between $10 million and $15 million. CLEAR plans to build a liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility on the former Wausau Mill property in Groveton. The facility would contain an 8.7-MW natural gas powerplant and 1.8 million gallons of storage and produce approximately 300,000 gallons a day of LNG.
