Patriot Renewables has begun work on its Saddleback Mountain Wind Energy Project in Carthage. The project consists of 12 turbines, electric transmission lines, an electric substation and an operation and maintenance building. Eastport Port Authority is seeking bidders for alterations to the Eastport Breakwater Facility. The project, which is valued at between $10 million and $15 million, will include demolishing the Breakwater section constructed in 1962 and replacing it with two pier sections. The Massachusetts State College Building Authority has started construction on a 380,000-sq-ft residence hall at Salem State University.
