Lydia Kennard, formerly executive director of Los Angeles World Airport, has been appointed president and CEO of KDG Development & Construction Consulting, Los Angeles. KDG was founded in 1980 as an offshoot of the architectural firm started in 1957 by Kennard's late father, the renowned architect Robert Kennard. Jack Wickersham will continue in his current position as chief of operations for the company.
Larry Bongort was named senior health-care architect and medical planner to Ratcliff's health-care practice group at its Emeryville headquarters. Bongort has more than 30 years of professional experience as a health-care architect, with a specialization in the planning and design of complex health-care facilities and ambulatory centers. Most recently, Bongort was senior health-care architect and medical planner with Stantec, San Francisco.
Dirk Braxton has been named a lead mechanical engineer in the Los Angeles office of Parsons Brinckerhoff. Braxton will be responsible for mechanical designs for the Los Angeles Metro Westside Subway Extension project. He comes to PB after a 23-year career with MTA New York City Transit, most recently serving as a project mechanical engineer within the capital program management department.
