The Building Trades Employers' Association (BTEA) has elected its 2014 co-chairmen. They are Charles Avolio, vice president and operations manager of Turner Construction Co., and Michael Russo, CEO and corporate secretary of Fresh Meadows Mechanical Corp.

Francois Williams has joined Racanelli Construction Co., Melville, N.Y., as an assistant estimator. He previously served in two concurrent roles as vice president of operations for F.J.W. Inc. and CEO of Worldwide Caulking Inc., both located in West Babylon, N.Y. In those positions, he managed large projects including work for the New York Police Academy in Flushing, N.Y., and for Delta Airlines at John F. Kennedy International Airport in Jamaica, N.Y. The firm has also hired William Hahn as assistant project manager. His responsibilities include subcontractor and field personnel coordination.

LeChase Construction Services LLC, Rochester, N.Y., has hired Bing Paesang as director of information technology, responsible for development, facilitation and management of the firm's IT program. Burns & McDonnell, Wallingford, Conn., has promoted Andrew McMullin from Maine Power Reliability Program community relations manager to Northeast manager of stakeholder management solutions. In his new role, McMullin will be responsible for managing teams of community relations specialists working on more than $7 billion worth of infrastructure projects throughout the Northeast and Canada.
