For this project, Batson-Cook Co. performed multiple expansions and renovations across various sections of Cancer Treatment Centers of America's medical center in Newnan, Ga. Included was an inpatient vertical expansion, which added 25 patient rooms. For the facility's radiation therapy services, the contractor built a radiation treatment concrete vault, exam rooms and offices, and expanded plant operations. The new vault—the facility's third—consists of concrete walls ranging from 3 ft to 7 ft in thickness and a roof lid varying from 3 ft to 5 ft thick. The project also added two operating rooms.
