Blue Plate Artist Lofts is a historic renovation of a 96,349-sq-ft fast-food production facility into 72 residential artist loft rentals.
Woodward Design+Build renovated the 96,349-sq-ft building with the goal of preserving many of the building’s industrial features.
In order to utilize Gulf Opportunity Zone tax funding, the contractor also had to complete the 14-month job in just eight months.
The $14-million project presented several safety challenges that required careful planning, including hazardous material remediation and major crane lifts—all completed with no lost-time accidents or OsHA recordable incidents.
