Monroe Clinic�s need to accommodate growth, to attract and retain top caregivers, to continuously improve their ability to offer health care are the drivers for this project.
The northwest addition project will house both hospital and clinical services, providing expanded and more convenient access to care. Some features of the campus expansion include:
� Convenient day-surgery access and private exit.
� An emergency helipad and covered ambulance entrance.
� An expanded family birth center featuring large birthing suites.
� A new chapel with a rooftop meditation garden
� A welcoming lobby featuring a gift shop, caf� and easy way-finding
� A top-story cafeteria with sweeping views and outside seating areas
� All-private rooms that accommodate both patients and family
�Lean� process improvement studies � a methodology focused on eliminating waste while increasing patient value � and the latest evidence-based design principles were used throughout the pre-construction process to promote higher standards in safety, efficiency and healing.
