Eckenhoff Saunders Architects of Chicago recently announced that intern architects Angela C. Spadoni and Charles Arko have joined its team. Arko comes to ESA from Pappageorge/Haymes Ltd., also of Chicago, where he worked on a number of residential and mixed-use towers in Chicago, Milwaukee, Houston and Seattle. Spadoni most recently worked with Zoka Zola Architecture + Urban Design, also in Chicago, as a competition team member on prototype preschools and kindergartens in Croatia.

Moretrench recently announced that Joseph A. Sopko has joined the company as regional manager for its Midwest operations. Strategically located just north of Milwaukee in Port Washington, Wis., the new office will offer the full range of Moretrench’s technologies to the Milwaukee, Chicago, Detroit and St. Louis areas.
Expertise and experience came together to make Nestor Infanzon the person chosen to run KAI Design & Build of St. Louis’ new Education and Health Care Studios. Over the past 10 years, Infanzon has focused on the higher education and health care arenas for projects in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Arkansas.
His work can be seen on campuses including Texas A&M, University of North Texas, Southern Methodist University, Texas Christian University and the Dallas County Community College District’s Brookhaven, Cedar Valley and Collin County colleges.
As for health care, Infanzon has worked on projects including Medical City Hospital Center, Baylor Hospital and Pate Rehabilitation Clinic. He has also headed projects for Orlando (Florida) Regional Medical Center; Memorial Systems in Colorado Springs, Colo.; and hospitals in Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi. Infanzon received a bachelor’s degree in environmental design and a master’s degree in architecture from Texas A&M University.

Matt Marchal has joined WFL Inc., a St. Louis-based insurance and financial services agency, as vice president. Marchal provides commercial insurance, surety bonds and group health benefits to companies in construction, manufacturing, distribution, nonprofit and professional services.
Prior to joining WFL, Marchal was assistant commissioner for the Missouri Valley Conference, where he helped host five Arch Madness men’s basketball tournaments as well as the 2005 NCAA Men’s Final Four in St. Louis. He also was manager of corporate sales and marketing for the St. Louis Rams.
Marchal has a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Illinois, Champaign- Urbana. He is an active supporter of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, ACTS, Southern Illinois Builders Association, The Pujols Family Foundation, Good Shepherd, OU Club of St. Louis and the University of Illinois Alumni Association.
In 2008, Marchal was honored by the Army National Guard with the Patriot Award for commitment to their recruitment and retention programs in Missouri and Illinois.
