CAGNY Celebrates 25 Years  July 2009
The Contractors’ Association of Greater New York (CAGNY) recently celebrated its 25th anniversary with an annual meeting dinner for its member companies and their employees at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in Manhattan. Students from the Bronx recently participated in ACE Team #17, part of the Architecture, Construction, Engineering Mentor Program, a program that relies on mentors and professionals from leading design and construction firms who devote their time and energy into exposing students to a broad range of people, projects, and career opportunities in the construction industry. The Northeast Green Building Conference 2009 recently took place at the Clarion Hotel located at 3 Watervliet Avenue Ext. in Albany, New York where New York State First Lady Michelle Paige Patterson addressed the conference on the “Greening the Executive Mansion” initiative and broke the news that New York’s Executive Mansion was awarded LEED Gold by the US Green Building Council.
