Ports to Plains Corridor U.S. 40/U.S. 287 at Boyero, Lincoln County Estimated Project Cost: $12.5 million ARRA Funds: $12.3 million Contractor: Castle Rock Construction Co. Start: July 2009 Finish: Sept. 2010 This is the next phase of a concrete reconstruction project along the Ports to Plains Corridor. It will improve 8.7 miles of U.S. 40/287 and is one of Colorado’s 28 highpriority strategic projects. |
I-70 West, Truck Parking Management Clear Creek and Eagle counties Estimated Project Cost: $2 million ARRA Funds: $2 million Contractor: Sturgeon Electric Co. Start: Aug. 2009 Finish: Dec. 2009 This project installs various truck parking management components—including: electronic signs, closed-circuit cameras and communication systems—to provide notification during inclement weather. |
U.S. 24 East Bridge Falcon, El Paso County Estimated Project Cost: $3.5 million ARRA Funds: $3.5 million Contractor: Scott Contracting Inc. Start: Oct. 2009 Finish: May 2010 This project replaces a structurally deficient bridge in Falcon and improves drainage. |
C-470 Between I-25 to Santa Fe Drive Douglas County Estimated Project Cost: $31.9 million ARRA Funds: $31.5 million Contractor: Castle Rock Construction Co. Start: June 2009 Finish: July 2010 This project repairs or replaces concrete slabs on C-470 and resurfaces the highway in asphalt. The project will also rehabilitate the C-470 bike path between I-70 and I-25. |
I-25 at Crossroads Interchange Loveland, Larimer County Estimated Project Cost: $3.4 million ARRA Funds: $3 million Contractor: Jalisco International Start: Aug. 2009 Finish: Summer 2010 This project will construct roundabouts at the I-25 and Crossroads interchange to help improve mobility and safety. |
