A-1 Chipseal acquired the assets of Rocky Mountain Pavement, a 15-year Denver-based asphalt preventive maintenance company. Full terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The combination of these two companies further solidifies A-1 Chipseal’s strategic initiative to become the leading company for pavement maintenance services in Colorado, according to Ben Vagher, company president.
All of Rocky Mountain Pavement’s operations and processes have been combined with A-1 Chipseal. The company operates from Rocky Mountain Pavement’s current location: 2001 W. 64th Lane, Denver, 80221.
Adolfson & Peterson Construction of Aurora purchased Rushforth Construction of Tacoma, Wash. The acquisition establishes A&P as a coast-to-coast construction company, with operations in six geographic regions: Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota, North Carolina, Texas and now Washington state.
A&P and Rushforth are both family-owned companies recognized for their commitment to environmental, economic and social responsibility. Both have formal processes designed to ensure clients achieve long-term value and performance from their projects, a process A&P calls “Value Beyond Building” and Rushforth calls its “Team Build” approach.
Honnen Equipment Co. acquired the assets of four John Deere Construction & Forestry dealerships from Scott Machinery Co., which it has added to its six locations currently serving Colorado and Wyoming.
The acquisition includes dealerships in Salt Lake City, Ogden and St. George, Utah; and Idaho Falls, Idaho. The purchase, which closed May 1, expanded the sales and service network for John Deere Construction & Forestry products, Hitachi products and Wirtgen Group products for Honnen Equipment Co.
Architectural, engineering consulting firm HDR, with offices in Denver, acquired Engineering-Environmental Management Inc., an environmental sciences and engineering firm with headquarters in Denver.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. e2M is conducting business as HDR | e2M.
Nashville-based Connico Inc. became a member of property and construction consultant Rider Levett Bucknall’s group of companies, which includes an office in Denver.
Connico Inc. specializes in construction cost and project management.
Balfour Beatty plc, the U.K.-based global construction giant, announced Sept. 17 it was acquiring U.S. engineering firm Parsons Brinckerhoff, New York City, for $626 million. The deal keeps the 13,000-employee PB intact as a wholly owned subsidiary, Balfour Beatty officials said.
