Denver-based architectural firm of klipp has merged with gkkworks, a national architectural, engineering and construction firm based in Irvine, Calif.
Klipp had been seeking to partner with a firm to grow market diversity and expand services while gkkworks was looking for a reputable Denver firm that shared its collaborative culture to help it expand into the Denver market. Now klipp will continue its operations as a division of gkkworks.
This new business entity will be based in Colorado, service clients from the current office and continue to be managed by existing klipp staff. Klipp principals Brian Klipp, Alan Colussy, Greg Cromer and Keat Tan will continue as principals of gkkworks to provide leadership and business development in their areas of expertise. Brian Klipp will also serve as the managing principal of the new regional division of gkkworks.
The firms combined resources will enhance staff expertise and opportunities as well as increase service capacity to Denver and the greater Rocky Mountain region.
Current klipp projects include University of Colorado – Geosciences Complex; Balfour Cosmopolitan Club and Senior Housing; Prairie PK-12 School; Frederick K-8 School; Center PK-12 school; and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science Education and Collections Facility.
“We are thrilled to align ourselves with gkkworks,” said Brian Klipp. “Their approach to design, market diversity and integrated services is highly innovative. It is exciting to be in a position of enhancing our services and market impact while maintaining our commitment to design excellence in our client focused practice.”
