The new Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple is built on a bluff on the edge of the Daybreak development in South Jordan, Utah. The edifice features a single stone-clad spire soaring to a height of 171 ft, topped by a 13.5-ft statue of the angel Moroni.
Located on an 11-acre site, the temple sits at the foot of the Oquirrh Mountains that form the western edge of the Salt Lake Valley and face east toward a panoramic view of the Wasatch Mountains. From the site, temple visitors are able to see the other three temples in the Salt Lake Valley.
