Elizabeth Hall is a 94,300-sq-ft facility consisting primarily of classrooms, computer labs, teaching spaces and administrative areas. The three-story building replaces single-story Buildings 1 and 2, two of the four original structures that have housed numerous departments and offices for more than 50 years on the Harrison Boulevard campus.
The second element of this project involved a new central chilled water plant utilizing a combination of two new chillers and reusing/relocating two existing chillers from the Weber State University campus.
Design innovation on Elizabeth Hall was driven by WSU’s desire to develop a facility that enhanced student performance, emphasized user comfort and was energy efficient. The project team has submitted for LEED-Silver certification.
