The McCaslin Boulevard interchange between Louisville and Superior will be converted to a diverging-diamond configuration that eliminates left-hand turns across traffic. "It will be the second diverging diamond in Colorado," says Gosselin. "There are only 15 or 20 of them in the country."
The Michael Baker Corp. engineering firm expects to start "ramping up" for Phase 2 this fall, according to Bryan Mouser, project manager. "We'll do a similar partnering to Phase 1 with HDR and Ames/Granite," he says.
