This modern eight-level building serves as a campus landmark while meeting the needs of the University of Utah business school. The 199,000-sq-ft facility houses classrooms, offices, a cafe and an auditorium. The LEED-Silver-designed building addresses the school's need to serve students with a wide variety of spaces while keeping a consistent image. The interiors and way-finding create a space reflective of a sophisticated and forward-thinking clientele. Tiered classrooms, which use daylight while eliminating glare and distractions, help maintain the focus on a speaker at the front of a room, yet support flexibility for student collaboration.
