Champions Center

The new home of CU football and athletics administration, the Champions Center will feature state-of-the-art facilities that include:

• A high-performance sports center (open to the public)

• Sports medicine—hydrotherapy, treatment and taping spaces, doctors’ offices, exam rooms, rehabilitation space and trainers’ offices

• Strength training—a new weight room with large, open training area, cardiovascular equipment and staff offices. The weight room will open directly to the indoor practice facility (IPF) for expanded training capabilities.

• Conference and meeting rooms

• A new football team locker room

• Coaching and administrative office suites

• Team dining facilities

• A rooftop terrace for game-day and special events

 

Indoor Practice Facility

Construction of the 108,000-sq-ft, multipurpose IPF will include a 100-yd artificial turf football field and a six-lane, 300-meter track. The IPF will serve all sports programs and reduce practice and training disruptions from bad weather. It will also allow CU to host sanctioned track and field events on campus.

• Olympic sports medicine facility addition

• New weight room, cardio area and yoga room for Olympic sports

• New locker room facilities for women’s tennis, women’s soccer, the men’s and women’s ski teams, men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s track and cross country, and spirit programs

• Academic Center expansion—space for academic success programs will triple from their existing size

• Dedicated space for the Leadership Development Program, counseling and nutrition
