Scott Moss has been named president of Moss & Associates, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., which is in the initial phase of a multiyear transition. Moss began his career as a project engineer with Centex Rooney. He most recently served as vice president of Moss.
Dan Kaufman has become president of R.J. Griffin & Co., headquartered in Atlanta. Kaufman most recently served as manager of the company’s South Division, also in Atlanta. Jack Nix Jr., formerly president and CEO, will continue as CEO only. Mike Bartlett will serve as executive vice president and COO after David Paris Jr.’s retirement.
Melanie Parks has been promoted to the position of environmental health and safety director for Skanska USA in Durham, N.C. In her new role, Parks is responsible for developing as well as implementing project-specific safety and environmental impact plans for the company. She was previously located in Skanska’s worldwide headquarters in Stockholm.

Fred Perpall has been named managing director of The Beck Group’s eastern division, based in Atlanta. Perpall will work with Brad Phillips, who formerly led the division. Phillips has been appointed managing director of strategic pursuits, with a national focus.
Sheri Ginett has joined the Raleigh, N.C., office of the architectural firm KlingStubbins, where she will serve as the director of interiors.
Thomas J. Delaney has been promoted to the position of East practice manager for tolls at PBS&J in Orlando. Also, Thomas S. Knuckey has been named practice manager for the company’s National Tolls Technology Group. Delaney has been with PBS&J since 2001 and most recently served as division manager for the national tolls technology division. Knuckey is a 23-year company veteran.

William Hess has been hired as a superintendent for general-contracting firm Miller Construction Co., Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The general contracting firm also hired Robert Verlinde and Eric Wolverton as superintendents. Hess previously was a commercial project manager with McGarvey Development, and Verlinde worked with D.F. McKnight Construction Co., Fort Lauderdale. Wolverton was most recently the owner and field manager of Shoreline Cabinet Systems, Fort Lauderdale.
Angie Grant Langley has joined Schmid Construction of Clermont, Fla., in the position as director of business development and government relations.
Mick Edelen has joined GATES of Naples, Fla., as an estimator and project manager. He has more than 25 years of construction industry experience.

Michelle M. Chandler was promoted to principal at SchenkelShultz Architecture of Orlando. The firm also named Daniel C. Laggan to the position of principal. Additionally, Carlos R. Roche and Cathy Roche were named associate principals. James H. Robison was promoted to associate in the firm’s Sarasota office.
Keith Curtis joined the Atlanta office of Perkins + Will as Southeast regional discipline leader. Katie Janson has joined the firm as senior project designer. Curtis and Janson will help to establish a Branded Environments practice in the organization's Atlanta office.
Alfonso Hernandez joined the design firm PGAL, based in Boca Raton, Fla., as a principal. He has 15 years of experience in the state of Florida.
Charles Mahaffey has been named director of project implementation at specialty contractor Precision Walls, based in Raleigh, N.C. He has more than 35 years of experience in the drywall industry. Matt Stevens has been hired as the manager of purchasing for Precision Walls. Troy Morgan has been promoted to general manager of the North Charleston, S.C., branch. Sharon Bunn has been named marketing specialist in the Raleigh, N.C., office.

Patrick Braswell joined commercial real-estate services firm Scotland Wright Associates in Atlanta, as a partner. Braswell was previously assistant vice president of Colliers Office Services Group.
Dale J. Haupt has joined TLC Engineering for Architecture, Orlando, as director of marketing and was named an associate. He previously worked as senior director of business development for Balfour Beatty Construction in Orlando and as director of business development for Flad and Associates in Gainesville.
John Faircloth has been hired as a project manager for electrical contractor Comprehensive Energy Services, Longwood, Fla. The company also hired Michael T. Phegley as a project manager. Additionally, the firm hired Warner Jones to serve as its new design-build special-projects manager.
Skip Notte has been promoted to associate vice president and branch manager for the Charlotte, N.C., office of Dewberry. Notte will be responsible for management of the office’s daily operations. He has been with Dewberry since 1999. He had served as a project manager and senior associate in the firm’s Richmond, Va., office, and has more than 10 years of industry experience.
