Houston-based Llewelyn-Davies Sahni was selected as the project architect for the redesign and redevelopment of the Houston Community College Central Campus Business Career Center. The current building has classrooms on the second and third floors with a parking garage on the first. LDS converted the parking area into 14,000 sq ft of enclosed space.
The new first-floor area will house a bookstore, campus security offices, a coffee shop and storage. The new design will also make space for the future construction of the campus’ Star Plaza. The estimated cost of the project is $1 million. Construction began in November and the targeted opening is this spring.
