F. N. Ploch Construction Co. of New Braunfels recently began a $7.9-million project to apply a sealcoat to the surface of roadways in eight counties.

Beginning in spring, more than 180 mi of farm-to-market roadways, state and U.S. highways in TxDOT’s Waco District began surface treatment with the seal coating.

Also under way in the Waco region is a $1-million project to modify a portion of FM 67 from FM 933 to SH 81 to increase safety by adding end-treatments to culvert-ends at cross drainage locations under the roadway and at adjoining private driveways as well as upgrade guardrail within the nearly 17 mi-long project. The contract was awarded to Kothman Ltd. of Hutto.
