Brendan Horgan was named chief executive officer of Sunbelt Rentals, an equipment rental firm based in Fort Mill, S.C. Horgan, who replaces Joe Phelan , has been with Sunbelt Rentals for the past 15 years, previously serving as chief operating officer and chief sales officer.

Randy Thron was named senior vice president of federal programs for BRPH in Melbourne, Fla. He has been with BRPH for 25 years.

David Privitera, chief operating officer for Concorde Construction Co., Charlotte, N.C., was given the additional post of president, a role previously held by Charles Hodges . Hodges remains chairman and CEO. Privitera had been the company’s COO since 2005. Concorde also promoted Ken Burns to director of preconstruction services.

Bonny Block was named business development director for Balfour Beatty Construction’s federal business unit in Orlando, Fla. Also, the firm named John Page business development director for its hospitality business in Orlando. A 22-year industry veteran, Page most recently worked for ValleyCrest Landscape Development.

B.J. Brundage has joined Manhattan Kraft Construction in Fort Myers, Fla.. His title is director of business development for Southwest Florida.

Chris Pastorius was named vice president of sales and estimating for Metromont Corp., a supplier of prestressed/precast concrete materials in Greenville, S.C. He previously worked for Oldcastle Precast.

Adrienne Cole joined the Raleigh, N.C., office of Bovis Lend Lease as a business developer. Cole most recently served as executive director of Raleigh Economic Development.

Rich Apolinar joined design firm Merrick & Company in Charlotte, N.C., as science and technology business development manager. In Atlanta, Randy Kray joined Merrick’s science and technology group as director of laboratory architecture.

Rob Palmer has joined architectural and engineering firm RS&H to lead the planning, transit and traffic efforts in its Jacksonville, Fla., office.

David J. Segmiller joined the Charlotte, N.C., office of Perkins Eastman as managing principal. He previously worked at FreemanWhite, where he headed the senior-living practice.

Kevin Kendellen joined Suffolk Construction Co. in West Palm Beach, Fla., as director of building information modeling and virtual design and construction. The firm also hired Diane Rutledge as director of marketing.

Roger Faulkner was named executive director of the Portland Cement Association’s Southeast Region in Lawrenceville, Ga. Faulkner recently worked for the Ohio Concrete Association.

William Riddick was named a senior water engineer in the Charlotte, N.C., office of Parsons Brinckerhoff. In PB’s Orlando office, Doug Stencil was hired as a senior supervising engineer.
