Francis Cauffman has named Kelly Miller senior associate. She joined the firm in 2007. Miller specializes in the management of health care facilities, having worked on such projects as Saint Barnabas Medical Center, the University of Pennsylvania Health System and Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
Turner Construction has elevated Sarah Garner to vice president. She is now serving as financial manager for the New York region. She joined Turner in 1994 as an estimating assistant and had been a senior cost engineer.
Bert Rahm has been promoted to vice president and general manager of interiors at Turner. He joined the company in 1985 and had been senior operations manager.
Ed Magnani has been elevated to vice president and operations manager of interiors at Turner. Magnani has been with the company since 1988 and was formerly deputy operations manager of the New York Interiors Group.
HLW International has announced a number of promotions in its New York and New Jersey offices. Debra Cole, Cristen Colantoni and Liz Burow have been named associate principals in New York. Heather Hernandez, Natalie Jessip and Anthony Mekel have been named senior associates in New York. Lauren Maxted, Jessica Pepito, Rui Borges, Currie Gardner and Sam Walters have been named associates. Joseph Stampfl has been elevated to associate in the firm’s New Jersey office.
New York City-based design firm HAKS has named Tarek Z. Khouri as senior vice president of its environmental practice. He was formerly a vice president at Langan Engineering & Environmental Services and also was a manager at URS Corp. HAKS ranks at No. 132 on ENR’s list of the Top 500 Design Firms.
Diana Anderson has joined design firm Stantec in
its health and wellness program. Both a medical doctor and an architect, Anderson will be based in New York City and work with the company’s global teams and clients. She is a past recipient of the AIA Arthur N. Tuttle Jr. Graduate Fellowship in Health Facility Planning and Design. Anderson has worked on hospital design projects in the U.S., Canada and Australia.
James Walsh has been named director of information technology for the U.S. and Central and South America region of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff. In his new position, Walsh will be responsible for delivering technology and innovation across all business sectors. He will be based in New York.
Nell Taranto and Thomas Haney have been elevated to senior associates at Carlton Architecture. Both had been architectural designers.
Skanska has named Margarita Irizarry director of equal employment opportunities and affirmative action. She will lead a new approach to unify all of the firm’s regional EEO and affirmative action leaders, says the firm. She most recently served as senior manager of global equal opportunity compliance at Johnson & Johnson.
CetraRuddy Architecture DPC has promoted Theresa Genovese, Ximena Rodriguez, Michael Simon and Joseph Jebran to principals. All were associate principals. Rodriguez is director of interior design, and Jebran is the firm’s international group director. Genovese heads the firm’s cultural-educational group, and Simon is a managing director.
