Sagamore Development Co. plans to construct the Sagamore Spirit Distillery at 301 E. Cromwell St. in Baltimore. The project includes a 27,000-sq-ft distilling center, a 22,000-sq-ft processing plant, a 12,000-sq-ft restaurant, a 120-ft-tall water tower and a shoreline promenade. Frederick County plans to build the Snowden Bridge Boulevard project in Stephenson. Norfolk Dredging Co. has begun the Prime Hook Beach restoration project in Milton. The project consists of dredging beach fill from a near-shore borrow area and placing it along 6,375 ft of shoreline. That will create a dune with a 40-ft-wide crest and beach berm that is 220 ft wide on the seaward side and 70 ft wide on the landward side. Other work includes installing 11,885 ft of sand fence and planting dune grasses across the dune’s surface. The project is valued at $13.5 million. Grunley Construction Co. started work on the exterior restoration of Sidney Yates Federal Building. The 1880 Romanesque-style brick building at 1400 Independence Ave., SW, houses the headquarters of the U.S. Forest Service. The project entails repointing mortar, masonry repairs, installing metal flashing on masonry bands, window repainting and perimeter gutter replacement.
