Livingston says ABC members are excited about opportunities in the District of Columbia, particularly The Wharf development and the Capitol Riverfront district. The mixed-use Wharf project spans 24 acres on the southwest waterfront. Plans include residential, office and retail spaces.

A range of residential, office, hotel and retail projects also are underway or in planning in the riverfront district, she says. When that plan is complete, it could have nearly 34 million sq ft of new space.
