Freese and Nichols has announced that Brian Coltharp has been named president and CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2017. Coltharp is currently chief operating officer; he will succeed Bob Pence, who has been CEO since 2002.
The firm also made the following appointments: Thomas Haster has been named water practice leader; Ron Lemons has been named account director for the water practice; and Robert Chambers has been named environmental science and remediation group manager.
Balfour Beatty Construction has promoted Eric Stenman to chief operating officer and John Tarpey to chief of organization development.
John Dalton Sr. has joined Zachry Group as senior adviser to the board of directors.
Matt Moore has been named president of Gibbs Construction. He joined Gibbs in July 2013 as director of preconstruction.
Durr Heavy Construction has announced the appointment of Robert S. Wooderson as its executive vice president. Before joining Durr, Wooderson was president of Gibbs Construction since 2008.
HOLT CAT has named Corinna Holt Richter as executive vice president/chief administrative officer and Peter John Holt as executive vice president/general manager.
Corgan has promoted Brandon Carmichael, Stephen Elwood and Dan Hursin to vice president. Carmichael joined Corgan in 2012, while Elwood joined in 2005 and Hursin in 2008.
Halff Associates has hired James Shanks in its Houston office as vice president.
Michael Voinis has joined HNTB Corp. as Houston office leader and vice president.
Scott Russell has also joined HNTB, as sales officer and vice president in the firm’s central division.
Samuel Johnson has joined Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam Inc. as project engineer for Houston’s large diameter pipeline group. He was previously with the San Antonio Water System, supporting water and sewer projects.
Anissa Sabawala has joined O’Donnell/Snider Construction as vice president. She previously led the business development team at Gilbane Building Co.’s New York City office.
Skanska USA has promoted Ryan Aalsma to vice president for its San Antonio office; Josue Reyes to vice president/account manager; and Shelby Adams to senior director of communications.
Hensel Phelps has announced two promotions: Michael Dwight to director of operations and Gary Perrin to operations manager.
Cardno has promoted Galan Williams to senior principal. The firm also elevated the following individuals to principal: Jerrold Friedman, David Hill, Chad Martin, Greg Pitts, Mon Sellers and Tan Tran.
RPS Klotz Associates has announced three promotions: Don Durgin to transportation practice manager; Alex Kuzovkov to deputy practice manager in the public works department; and Lynn Pipkin to mobility department manager.
Karsten Interior Services has promoted John Revell, who joined Karsten in 2011, to director of project management.
