Conti is constructing the MRL 4.2 project for USACE New Orleans. The work includes approximately 5,400 linear ft of new concrete floodwall that will stretch from Oak Road to the Belle Chase Ferry Landing. Upon completion, the floodwall will have a final elevation of 24.5 linear ft.

Weber, Conti’s project manager on site, shot this photo using his iPhone.

“I was checking up on the progress of our pile driving team when I took this photo,” Weber says. “I was able to successfully capture the diesel hammer in action firing and was far enough away to catch both Conti’s cranes and leads in the shot. This photo also shows a safe and orderly appearance overall, which is standard on Conti’s jobsites.” Conti custom-built large wooden crane mats to be able to work efficiently on Louisiana soils.
