SCT&E LNG and G2 LNG LLC are planning construction of the Monkey Island LNG Processing Export Facility & Port, with an export capacity of 14 million metric tons of LNG a year. Financing has been secured, with further advancement pending federal permit approval. Target construction start is mid-2017. Louisiana

Magnolia LNG is planning the firm’s new LNG export facility. The project will sit on a 108-acre lease at the Port of Lake Charles and produce 4 million metric tons of LNG per year. FERC approval came in January 2016. Final EPC contracts are in negotiation with Magnolia LNG and the contractor joint venture of KBR and SKE&C USA. Construction is anticipated to start on all four trains in 2016, with planned start-up in mid-2018. The project is valued at $3.5 billion. The Texas Dept. of Transportation is planning improvements to the State Highway 288 tollway in Angleton. The project develops managed lanes within the median of the S.H. 288 general-purpose lanes from the Brazoria County Line to approximately County Road 58. The project is valued at $160 million. Waxahachie ISD is planning construction of a new $80-million high school. The project includes a single two-story building totaling 100,000 sq ft. Final design plans are in progress.
