Lane says the latest AIA Architecture Billings Index shows the South region, which includes Baltimore, is in the lead nationally with increasing demand for design activity. The multifamily residential and local institutional sectors are experiencing the strongest growth, according to the ABI. Commercial and industrial work are improving, too.
