Shawn McAlpin has been elevated to CEO of Burton Construction, Houston, and Cullen Burton, son of company founder Brad Burton, has been promoted to president of the firm.
Scott Ruch, executive managing principal and sector leader of the critical facilities practice, has been named CEO of Corgan, Dallas. Meanwhile, Lindsay Wilson and Steve Hulsey have been elevated to presidents of the firm and will maintain their current roles as sector leaders of the interiors and education studios, respectively. After eight years as president and CEO, Bob Morris will continue with the firm as chairman of the board.
Duncan T. Fulton, co-founder of GFF in Dallas, will assume the role of chairman and CEO. Evan Beattie has been named president; Allison Hubbard has been promoted to chief operating officer, business; and Richard L. Myers has been elevated to chief operating officer, professional practice.
Keyan Zandy, previously director of operations, is now chief operating officer at Skiles Group, Dallas, and Michael Blakemore has joined the firm as senior vice president. Blakemore comes to Skiles Group from JE Dunn Construction, where he served as co-business unit leader and vice president.
Bret Pardue has joined Slack & Co. Contracting Inc., Houston, as chief operating officer.
S & B Engineers and Constructors Ltd., Houston, has named Darren Parnell as president of S & B Modular Operations. Thomas Glascock has joined the firm as vice president of S & B Modular Operations.
John Barton has joined HNTB Corp., assuming a national role as DOT market-sector leader and senior vice president. He is based in the firm’s Plano, Texas, office. Barton comes to HNTB from the Texas A&M University system. Before that, Barton spent nearly 30 years at the Texas Dept. of Transportation. Dan Carroll has rejoined HNTB as senior project engineer, based in the firm’s San Antonio office. Carroll formerly served as a deputy project manager and engineer for HNTB from 2008 to 2016.
Mark Courville has joined WSP’s Houston office as senior vice president and managing director of the Houston property and buildings practice. Meanwhile, Max Nassar has been named Gulf Coast transportation and infrastructure area manager for WSP. Nassar is based in the firm’s New Orleans office. James Caughorn has been named a senior project manager at WSP’s Houston office.
Donna Adams returns as vice president and regional business development director in the Houston office of Atkins, a member of the SNC-Lavalin Group. Daniel Humphrey has been promoted to transportation sector manager in Atkins’ Dallas office.
Rick Dubec has been promoted to vice president, special projects in the College Station, Texas, office of MYCON General Contractors. Dubec joined MYCON in March 2016 to lead its new Central Texas office.
Fred Noblett III has joined Structure Tone Southwest as regional vice president to lead its Austin operations. The firm also added the following new hires to its Houston operations: Justin Goodman as director of business development and Saleem Qassem as director of operations.
TDIndustries, Dallas, has hired Nicolas Sfeir as the vice president of its Austin business unit. Sfeir previously served as business unit vice president for the Southwest division at Southland Industries.

William H. Espey has joined LJA Engineering, Houston, in the public works division as director of water resources. He is a registered engineer in four states, with 60 years of experience in water management and coastal engineering. He is a founding diplomate of the American Academy of Water Resources Engineers.
Philip Wheat has joined Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam Inc. (LAN) as a senior project manager in the firm’s Dallas office. Lynn Chamberlain has joined LAN as a water conveyance engineer. In addition, LAN has promoted Mackrena L. Ramos to program manager in the city of Houston’s Surface Water Transmission Program (SWTP). She is the first Hispanic female engineer to lead the program in the firm’s history. Ramos has been with LAN since 1999.
Ralph B. Hennessy has joined Michael Baker International as the aviation services group lead for Louisiana. He will be based in the firm’s Baton Rouge office.
Lilker Associates Consulting Engineers has named Robert Trovato director of its newest office in Dallas. Trovato has been with the MEP engineering firm since 2004, most recently as a senior associate.
Sam Arnaout has joined Stantec as a senior principal engineer in the firm’s Dallas office.
Shaun Cranston has joined Halff Associates Inc.’s Austin office as director of land development services. He was previously senior vice president at an international land development firm. Tim James has joined Halff’s headquarters in Richardson, Texas, as a business development manager.
Jay Martin has joined Page’s Dallas office as mechanical engineering director.
Sundt Construction has added industry veteran Lance Rokohl to its Fort Worth office as a senior project manager.
Smith Seckman Reid Inc., Nashville, has made two new hires in its Houston office. Michael Riggs has joined the firm as project manager, and Robert Schoepf has been hired as commissioning project manager.
Alan Stilts has been promoted to principal in the Woodlands, Texas, office of PBK Architects. He joined PBK in 2014. Three individuals were promoted to associate principal in the Houston office: Jorge Tiscareno, Lorin Pargoud and Brandon Ross.

CobbFendley has named Brian Castille manager in the firm’s traffic department. He recently celebrated his fifth anniversary with CobbFendley. Mark Lorance has joined the firm as North Texas transportation manager. He has 27 years of experience in civil engineering and project management.
Gensler has made several staff changes. Jennifer Mejia has joined the Austin office as senior interior designer. Mejia had been with STG Design since 2007. Simona Furini has rejoined the firm as senior design manager. Furini had been with Abel Design Group since 2014. She was an associate at Gensler in Houston from 1998-2003.
Graciela Andraos has been named co-director of HKS commercial interiors studio in Dallas. Jayme Schutt was also named co-director of the same unit.
Nate Greve has joined the Dallas office of Chamberlin Roofing & Waterproofing as project coordinator. Irvin Faudoa has joined the Austin office as human resources talent acquisition specialist. In Dallas, Justin Holiman was promoted to project manager. In Houston, promotions include: Matt Korioth to senior project estimator and Richard Cortez to assistant project manager. In Austin, Diego Rivera was promoted to project coordinator and Marcos Ramirez to general superintendent.
