Kevin Connor has been promoted by Skanska to vice president and project executive in Phoenix. He has been with Skanska for 17 years and has worked on a variety of projects, including EdgeCore Data Centers in both Arizona and Texas and projects for Banner Health.
Sundt Construction has named James Geer senior vice president and private-public group manager for its Tempe, Ariz., office. Geer will be responsible for growing public-private-partnership opportunities by working with Sundt’s transportation, industrial and building groups on project pursuit and delivery.
Rylan Schimelpfenig has joined Archer Western Contractors as regional procurement manager. His role is to support all projects from a standardized process and procedure during project buyout and dimensional coordination.
W.E. O’Neil has hired Jed Heuberger as its senior project manager in its Tucson office. A 15-year veteran of the company, Heuberger previously served as project manager, preconstruction director and senior project manager. His construction background includes experience in the hospitality, health care and education sectors.

Brett Gonsowski has been hired as a superintendent. He earned his bachelor’s degree in engineering technology and construction management from Western Illinois University.
Elaine McLean has joined the Phoenix office as a senior project manager. Her responsibilities include managing multifamily construction. She holds a master’s degree in environmental planning from Arizona State University.
Marc Roberts, the new preconstruction director, will lead McShane’s preconstruction services for numerous projects. Roberts received his master’s degree in architecture and business administration from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.
Angela Watson of the Phoenix office of Shepley Bulfinch has been elected to the 2018 College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects. Throughout her 24-year career, Watson has directed more than a dozen award-winning projects, advocated for research-based design and received international recognition for post-occupancy work.
Jason Mikkelsen has been promoted to managing principal of HDR’s Phoenix architecture studio. He will lead a staff of 38 architects and engineers. Mikkelsen has managed projects for Arizona State University, the California Air National Guard and the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego.
Hines has hired two construction managers for its Phoenix office. Brad Kanwischer will be responsible for construction efforts for Arizona office properties. He holds a bachelor’s degree in building construction management from Purdue University.
Andrew Snedeker will lead construction at Renaissance Square in downtown Phoenix and will work on upcoming self-storage projects. He has a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Arizona State University.
