At WSP USA, Julie D’Orazio has been hired as national market leader and a senior vice president for transit and rail; she was previously NY metro/transit rail manager and a senior vice president at AECOM. Several WSP senior vice presidents received new titles: Herbert Els was named director of specialty services; Josh Radoff was appointed to director of the built ecology practice within the property and buildings business; and Nolan Rome was named leader of the U.S. health care practice.
AECOM has promoted Alanna Strohecker to freight rail director in the Americas and Nasri Munfah to director of tunneling and underground engineering.
Mike Aziz is the new director of urban design at Cooper Robertson, where he previously was an associate. Aziz had been a senior urban designer and campus planner at Perkins+Will.
Dewberry announced a number of regional promotions. In New Jersey, Eric Boschen, Bryan Garbasz, James Gazzale, Steven Eget, James Heeren, Mario Iannelli and Douglas Sullivan were elevated to senior associate, while Lisa Peterson, Steven Ruskan, Manuel Vera Caraballo, Steven Benosky, Charles Stebbins and Joanne Slaman are now associates. In New York City, Nicholas Saponara was promoted to senior associate, and Rhonda Cardone, Jason Lee and Gregory Mueller are associates. Additionally, Dewberry has hired Christopher Ellis as a geotechnical senior project manager in New Jersey.
Dana Robbins Schneider, managing director and national practice lead for JLL’s energy and sustainability services, was appointed by the U.S. Green Building Council as a member at large on the LEED Steering Committee. She will serve a one-year term.
JRM Construction Management has hired Joseph Schimenti as project director. He previously served as a managing director at Schimenti Construction Co.
Michael A. Salvato has joined Mott MacDonald as vice president of infrastructure advisory practices. He is based in the company’s North American headquarters in Iselin, N.J. He previously had a 20-year career at the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA).
The LiRo Group has hired John B. McCaffrey as chief information officer. He had been CIO for Westchester County, N.Y.
BOMAG Americas has hired Matt Cadnum as vice president of sales and marketing. He previously was vice president for Atlas Copco Construction’s rental sales team and vice president of hydraulic attachments for Epiroc, a division of Atlas Copco.
Oxford Properties Group, the real estate arm of the Canadian pension fund OMERS, hired Kate Bicknell as its vice president and head of New York development. She previously was senior vice president of commercial and residential development at Forest City New York.
GZA has named Bhuvnesh Parekh as a senior consultant focusing on environmental engineering and remediation. He was recently a principal project engineer at Weston Solutions.
Michael S. Quinn has joined Schnabel Engineering as a senior associate specializing in dam and levee engineering and construction. Previously, he was an associate vice president of CHA Consulting. He is based in the Albany, N.Y., suburb of Clifton Park.
U.K. construction consultant Gleeds has named Lindsay McCombe vice president in its U.S. operation, based in New York City. He was previously area chairman for Gleeds’ central U.K. region, based in Birmingham, England.
KEA Engineers has named Dmitry Patent as mechanical department head. He previously led mechanical system design of data centers and telecommunications facilities for Highland Associates.
Suffolk Construction has hired William Whitesell as chief operating officer for the New York region. He was previously vice president of design and construction for The Related Cos. and also had been a project executive at Turner Construction before joining Related in 2015.
Everard Martin has been elevated to president of Broadway Construction Group, a New York City construction manager-general contractor. He joined the firm in 2015 after a 20-year career at Plaza Construction. He also worked at the New York State Dormitory Authority and George A. Fuller Construction. BCG, founded in 2013, merged with Zephyr Construction Management in 2017.
The Deep Foundations Institute in Hawthorne, N.J., has named Maysill Pascal, senior regional engineer-sales manager for USW, as chair of its Women in Deep Foundations Committee. The panel seeks to get more women professionals in the deep foundations sector through networking events, outreach and mentoring.
