This project transformed a light-industrial and office building into an inspiring new space for customer service in Adams County, Colo. The renovation has allowed more than 750 human services employees from around the county to be located in one place. Just as important, clients can now find all of the county’s human services under one roof.

The transformation completely redeveloped the building’s three levels of offices, complemented by adding a new 4,000-sq-ft entry, atrium and lobby. Daylight penetrates into workspaces through an expansive glass curtain wall. The improvements are enhanced by a new central plant and mechanical system, new electrical throughout and complete low-voltage systems for communications, audio-visual and security. Challenges included a sloped floor, which the project team addressed after conducting a LiDAR survey and a whole-building scan.
