The Mayo Clinic is in the planning stage for a $648-million design-bid-build expansion project in Phoenix. Dubbed Arizona Forward, the project will add 1.4 million sq ft of building space. Among other elements, the project is expected to include a six-story patient tower that will increase the number of patient beds from 280 to 374 by 2023. Arizona State University is in the planning phase for a new $63.5-million academic building at the downtown Phoenix campus. The Arizona Dept. of Transportation and the city of Kingman are in the planning stages for an Interstate 40 overpass. The city of North Las Vegas is planning a $25-million, 140-acre-ft detention basin. This project consists of the design and construction of the detention basin, spillway and outfall as well as two miles of reinforced box culverts along Pecos Road. This project will collect floodwaters from the upper Range Wash watershed within the Northern Beltway right-of-way, and route reduced flows into the Vandenberg Detention Basin.
