Josue Reyes has been hired by D. Wilson Construction Co., McAllen, Texas, as the company’s new CEO. He comes to the firm after spending more than 10 years at Skanska USA Buildings Inc., where he most recently served as vice president.
Jack Gilbraith recently joined Remedial Construction Services LP (RECON), Houston, as president and CEO. Gilbraith comes to RECON with 30 years of industrial experience, including oversight and management of private and federal sector environmental, geotechnical and demolition projects and programs.
Jose Carlos Esteban has been named president and CEO of Webber, The Woodlands, Texas. In 2006, he relocated to the U.S. to lead Ferrovial Agroman on its first U.S. project, the design and construction of the Indiana Toll Road. Esteban then became CEO of Bluebonnet Contractors LLC, a joint venture between Webber and Ferrovial Agroman US Corp., where he was responsible for the design and construction of the $1.5-billion North Tarrant Expressway Project. For the past six years, Esteban served as executive vice president at Webber.
Rick Barclay was hired as chief administrative officer at Crafton Tull of Rogers, Ark. He previously held multiple positions with Mercy Health of Northwest Arkansas, including vice president of human resources and vice president of support services.
Brent Dostal has been promoted to president of Tulsa-based Cantera Concrete Co., a part of Manhattan Construction Group. He served at Cantera’s general-building affiliate, Manhattan Construction Co., from 1997 to 2001, and then served as vice president of Cantera since its founding in 2001.
Bartlett Cocke General Contractors, San Antonio, announced two promotions to its executive team. James Anderson has been promoted to president and T.J. Rogers to executive vice president. Anderson, who has been with Bartlett Cocke for 24 years, previously served as vice president of operations, South Texas. Rogers has been with the company for 15 years and has 30 years of experience in the construction industry. He previously served as vice president of estimating.
Jody Lee has joined Cadence McShane Construction Co., Dallas, as vice president of marketing.
EMJ Construction has promoted Keith Starkes to vice president of preconstruction for its Dallas-based team. Starkes joined EMJ in 2004 as a project engineer.
Jones|Carter announced four new hires at its North Texas offices: Gore Bolton as vice president of land development, Jorge Gonzalez-Rodiles as senior client manager of land development, Jon Kroehler as senior client manager of land development and Travis Bousquet as manager of site development. In Austin, Jason Baze has joined the municipal engineering team as senior project manager.
Landis Construction, New Orleans, has announced several employee promotions and one new hire. The firm’s recent promotions include: Ryan Allen to vice president of preconstruction, Drew Gathman to carpenter, Brandon Morris to carpenter, Gary Hauptmann to superintendent, Jeff Blady to assistant superintendent, Shedrick Holden to carpenter foreman, Bill Tomasak to senior project manager and Tom Weathers to director of purchasing and systems innovation. Meanwhile, Nick Panzeca has joined the company as contract administrator.
Bob Austin and Jeff Thomas were both promoted to vice president at Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam Inc. (LAN) Houston. Austin joined LAN in 2013 as a senior project manager. Thomas joined LAN in 2008 as a senior project manager.
Rhonda Badeaux has been appointed a vice president at MAPP, Baton Rouge. Badeaux joined the firm 12 years ago as a receptionist in the Baton Rouge office and eventually served as human resources director.
McCarthy Building Cos., Houston, recently promoted two employees. Mike Schulte becomes vice president of operations for the marine/industrial business unit. He will lead the new Channelview office, which opened Feb. 20. Mike Benford becomes director of business development for the Southern region. He previously served as director of business development for McCarthy’s Southern California region.
Michael Grabham has been named vice president of energy and technical services for the South region at McKinstry in Dallas. He helped establish the firm’s Dallas office in 2008.
MYCON General Contractors has promoted Lou Arrieta to vice president of estimating. Arrieta joined MYCON in 2010.
Bob Glied has joined YAK ACCESS, Columbia, Miss., as vice president of business transformation.
Matthew Deeke has been named a director and corporate secretary of SCHMIDT & STACY Consulting Engineers Inc., Dallas. He joined the firm in 2005 and replaces Strider Steele as board secretary.
Lee Anne Dixon has been appointed director of operations of the infrastructure group at Walter P Moore, Houston. Blair Hanuschak, senior principal, has been promoted to executive director of the firm’s structures group, which spans 19 U.S. offices, five international locations and employs roughly 54% of the firm’s workers.
Steven Moes joins Leo A Daly as national director of Dept. of Defense programs, central region, based in the firm’s San Antonio office. Moes is a retired U.S. Air Force colonel who served for 25 years as a civil engineering officer. Following his public service, Moes worked for 13 years as a federal program manager, most recently with Pond & Co.
Michael Monsalve has joined the Dallas-Fort Worth office of Moss Construction as director of business development.
Sharon A. Steinberg has joined Gensler as project director in the Houston office. Before joining Gensler, she was a principal for Stantec Architecture in Boston, New York and Houston.
JaNette Bridgewater has been hired as human resources director at Freese and Nichols Inc.’s Fort Worth office. David Munn has joined Freese and Nichols as Southeast Texas treatment group manager in Houston. Kyle Cortiana was hired as stormwater discipline leader in Oklahoma. Ron Deal, a corrosion specialist, joins Freese and Nichols as a senior designer based in Austin.
Robert Kennah has joined HNTB Corp. as project director, based in the firm’s Houston office. Before joining HNTB, Kennah served as principal project manager for another consulting firm. In HNTB’s Plano office, Cheryle Tyson was hired as a national transit and rail consultant. She spent 22 years with Federal Transit Administration Region 6 in Fort Worth as regional engineer.
Sundt Construction has made three new hires in the firm’s San Antonio office. Brian Cox has joined the firm as project executive, Jed Heuberger has been named a senior estimator and Hayden Boster has been hired as a project manager on the Canopy by Hilton San Antonio project.
Wade Ross has joined IMEG’s office in Dallas as a project executive. He specializes in system design for industrial, health care and government facilities. Ray Blackwell has been named client executive for the firm’s security team, based in IMEG’s Bastrop, Texas, office. He most recently served as a project executive.
RS&H has hired Foroud Moradi Sarmeidani to serve as senior engineer for the firm’s transportation-infrastructure practice in Austin.
Keith Quick has joined Garver’s transportation team as senior project manager in the Jackson, Miss., office. Quick will also help lead Garver’s hydrology and hydraulics team. Wade Parks has joined the water team as project manager in Garver’s Houston office. Previously, Parks oversaw wastewater design and construction projects for the city of Houston.
Arpit Talati has been named regional business manager for the Texas/Mountain region of WSP USA. Talati is based in the firm’s Dallas office. Before joining WSP, Talati was responsible for infrastructure sales at an international engineering organization.
