Virginia Lingham has been named WSP USA’s senior connected and automated vehicles program consultant in the firm’s San Diego office. Lingham will develop projects in intelligent transportation systems (ITS) and connected and automated vehicle (CAV) service. Previously, Lingham served as Virginia Dept. of Transportation’s CAV program manager and on Northern California’s Metropolitan Transportation Commission as the connected vehicle team lead. For the Wisconsin Dept. of Transportation, Lingham worked as the state-wide travel information manager. She holds a master’s degree in transportation engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and urban studies from Wayne State University.
Will Oren has been hired as Dewberry’s senior project architect in the firm’s Sacramento, Calif., office. He will work on the Philz Coffee project and is responsible for the design, documentation and preparation of design-build criteria and project coordination related to the health care, food and beverage, and commercial markets. An industry-veteran of 12 years, Oren has worked on projects in China, France and Morocco and specializes in mirroring the built environment with other related industries, including engineering and construction. Oren earned a master’s degree in architecture from the University of California, Berkeley, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Harvard University.
Jitendra Pahilajani was promoted to Webcor’s senior vice president of South Bay operations in the San Jose, Calif., office, which opened last year. Pahilajani joined the company in 2004 and worked in multiple roles and divisions, most recently as the vice president of preconstruction and estimating for Northern California. Pahilajani earned a master’s degree in structural engineering from Arizona State University and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Mumbai.
Jay Clare joined Kleinfelder’s Oakland, Calif., office as senior vice president of strategic growth. With 30 years of experience, Clare previously served as senior vice president at AECOM and URS Corp. He holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
Kirk Benken has been named Lendlease’s general manager of construction for the San Francisco market. With 25 years of experience in leading health care, hospitality, multifamily high-rise, data center and higher education projects, Benken most recently worked as Flintco’s vice president and area manager for the Central Texas office. He will supervise new business pursuits and existing client relationships in Northern California. His expertise is in contract negotiation, scheduling, financial projections and employee engagement. Benken has a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Purdue University.
Wayne Feuerborn is now president of the HNTB’s West division and will oversee complex infrastructure programs, including rail, transit, tolling and aviation from HNTB California’s headquarters in Los Angeles. With 18 years of experience at HNTB, Feuerborn most recently served as the company’s office leader in Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Iowa. He earned an MBA from the University of Baltimore and two master’s degrees—in urban planning and architecture—plus a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Kansas.
