Layton Construction has appointed architect Boone Hellmann to its board of directors. Hellmann recently retired from the University of California, San Diego, after working for nearly 30 years as the campus architect and associate vice chancellor for facilities design and construction.
R&R Engineers - Surveyors Inc. has appointed Todd Smith as executive vice president. Smith is a professional engineer with 30-plus years in multistate design and construction for heavy civil, utilities, sitework, landscape and reclamation.
Scott Ingvoldstad has been named area manager for transportation in the Colorado and Wyoming region at engineering and professional services consultancy WSP USA. Most recently, he served as executive managing director for Panasonic Corp.’s smart city strategic planning division.
The RMH Group’s Mike Watkins, senior vice president, and Erica Moser, project manager and shareholder, have been promoted to the positions of chief operating officer and aerospace group market leader, respectively. Watkins previously served as RMH’s aerospace group market leader. Moser is an experienced project manager and a mechanical engineer on RMH’s aerospace team.
Sundt Construction Inc. has hired Ken Kubacki as vice president, Intermountain regional manager for the firm’s transportation group. He oversees business development, preconstruction, operations and client management in both Utah and Colorado.
Howell Construction recently added Alex Gregory as the firm’s senior preconstruction manager. Previously, he had been the preconstruction manager for a full-service general contractor.
GTC recently named Todd Schroeder as president. Schroeder has been with GTC since 2008 and was named vice president in 2012. Former GTC president Brian Laartz, who is retiring, will remain on the company’s board of directors until the end of the year.
The other executive committee members are Jeff Nading, CEO; Jamison Martin, vice president of preconstruction services; and Joe Vasbinder, executive vice president.
The firm appointed Lance Swanson as vice president. He has been with the firm since 2010. The company also named Nicole Wempe a principal.
Jason Golden, formerly executive vice president, has assumed the role of president at MW GOLDEN CONSTRUCTORS. He has more than 22 years of industry experience, all with MWGC. The firm’s former president, Mike Golden, has transitioned to the role of CEO. The firm also announced that Chris Honey is transitioning from lead superintendent and vice president to executive vice president.
David Bastow has joined CSHQA as mechanical engineering manager. He brings to the design firm more than 37 years of engineering and field experience in refrigeration, HVAC, controls, electrical, plumbing, computerized hourly energy modeling and energy audits.
Professional services firm Dewberry has hired Mike Sutherland in its Denver office as part of the firm’s geospatial and technology services group. He is responsible for quality control of lidar projects, coastal and topo bathymetric domain staff training and data processing workflow development and refinement.
Joe Tamburini has joined Stanley Consultants as a client service manager. Based in the firm’s Denver office, he will work to expand the firm’s industrial water and wastewater business.
