Two interconnected buildings create the new Fine Arts Building on the Boise State University campus. The limestone-and-glass-clad building serves studio and office needs, while the blue stainless-shingled structure houses galleries and classrooms.

The design and installation of the mechanical systems were critical for achieving the stringent temperature and humidity requirements of the gallery spaces. Specialized environmental and exhaust systems remove indoor pollutants and capture hazardous materials generated by some of the creative processes. Cladding installation was a challenge, since most of the vertical exterior walls are either curved or aligned off the vertical plane. Solid craftmanship resulted in a stunning combination of glazing systems, stone veneers and stainless-steel shingles.
