McCauley Constructors has hired Ken Baumgartner as its new vice president. Baumgartner will manage preconstruction, site development and vertical construction, with oversight of all construction. He previously worked for a large local general contractor for 21 years, most recently as regional director for Northern Colorado and Wyoming.
CSHQA has announced new and returning members to its board of directors. Emily Baker, founder and managing partner of Portman Square Group, joins CSHQA as its first outside director from the business community. Baker has more than 20 years of experience in strategic communications, public outreach, government affairs and policy development working for state and federal agencies, private industry and educational institutions, including at BSU as an adjunct professor. Jesse Goldman, architect principal from the firm’s Denver office, and Ruthie Heikkila, human resources manager, were also named directors. Returning directors are: Jim Otradosky, chair; Mark Gier; Ted Isbell; Jim Marsh; Steve Wakeman and Danielle Weaver.
GE Johnson Construction Co. has promoted Jonathan McDonald to construction executive and Sean Williams to operations manager. McDonald is heavily involved in preconstruction, project setup and subcontractor buyout. Williams joined GE Johnson in January as a design phase executive, bringing more than 12 years of industry experience in various capacities, including lean project delivery.
GE Johnson also has hired Shawn Ingram as a construction manager and Elaine Kanelos as director of business development.
Ware Malcomb has promoted Rob Kiester to studio manager, architecture, in the Denver office. Kiester joined Ware Malcomb in 2016 as a project manager. He has worked on office, public, retail, industrial, restaurant, interiors and master-planning projects.
Richard Carlucci joined the Sundt infrastructure development group as bid director. He handles public-private partnership bids and private development opportunities.
Jeff Williamson has been promoted to president of Sundt’s transportation group. Before joining the firm, Williamson served for 15 years as a regional vice president for a large civil contractor in the Southwest. He helped open Sundt’s Salt Lake City office.
Colorado-based general contractor Taylor Kohrs has promoted Gregory Lewis to director of construction. Previously, Lewis was senior superintendent for the firm and has nearly four decades of experience in building client relationships and completing complex construction projects.
Pinyon Environmental Inc. recently expanded its service offerings in air and water quality. Caroline Byus joins the firm as utilities market manager with more than 25 years of experience in the water and wastewater industry and environmental consulting. Dustin Collins joins the firm as the technical group manager of Pinyon’s newly formed air quality team. Kaitlin Meszaros joins Collins as an air quality specialist. Meszaros has more than six years of professional experience.
White Construction Group has hired Clint Jackson as a construction executive. He will lead key projects in adaptive reuse, mixed-use and institutional construction. The firm also hired Eli Schutz as a senior estimator and Brooke Hull as marketing manager.
