William J. Gilbane III joined the board of Gilbane Inc., the Providence, R.I. parent of Gilbane Building Co. and Gilbane Development Co. Serving as senior vice president, New York division leader, since 2012, the fifth-generation Gilbane more than doubled the New York division’s annual revenue during the past seven years.

Gilbane also hired Rich Cavallaro, former president and CEO of Skanska USA Civil, as executive vice president leading the New York division, made up of the New York City, upstate New York and New Jersey business units as well as the New England division. During his tenure leading Skanska USA Civil, Cavallaro helped double the firm’s civil portfolio.

Grant Gagnier, who most recently served as head of operations, senior vice president, construction at Lendlease, is now Gilbane vice president and New York City business unit leader. Gagnier also was chief operating officer for Suffolk Construction’s New York region.

The Associated Construction Contractors of New Jersey has elected new officers to its board of trustees. They are: chairman, Art Corwin of Railroad Construction Co.; vice chairman, Eric Jensen of Michael Riesz & Co.; treasurer, Jeff Waters of Waters & Bugbee Inc.; and secretary, Paul Natoli of Joseph A. Natoli Construction Corp. ACCNJ officers began serving Jan. 1, and their terms run through Dec. 31, 2021.

East Brunswick, N.J.-based ALLU Group Inc. has hired Edison Rocha as its new vice president of distribution and marketing for the U.S. and Canada. He was most recently a division sales manager in the U.S. for Sandvik Mining & Construction.
 

Andrew Weinberg has been hired by LF Driscoll Healthcare as its director of business development, based in New York City. He was previously director of business development for Whitestone Associates Inc. and is vice president and president-elect of the New York Chapter of the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS).

John Boulé II, a senior vice president at Dewberry, has been named president of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) New York City Post. He had served in the U.S. Army from 1986 to 2012, attaining the rank of colonel before retiring, and from 2009 to 2012, he was commander of the New York District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Bruce Feffer has joined Mandelbaum Salsburg PC as a partner in its New York City office in the firm’s real estate and corporate law practice groups. He had been an attorney and partner at Hartmann Doherty Rosa Berman & Bulbulia.
 

Karen Field has been hired by New York City-based Questex as group content director, technology, for the firm’s brands FierceElectronics, a news and information source for design engineers and engineering management, and Sensors Conference & Expo. She had been executive director, content, industry and infrastructure group, at Informa.

Hancock Associates, a land surveying, civil engineering and wetland science services consulting firm, has hired Erik Swanson as senior project manager and engineering manager based in Danvers, Mass. He most recently served as president of Viking Engineering Services. Swanson’s expertise includes performing hydrologic and hydraulic analysis related to FEMA mapping updates.

New York City-based architectural practice RKTB has promoted Dawne David-Pierre to associate. She has been with the firm since 2016.

Sara Kendall and Dan Fine have been promoted to vice president and general manager of Turner Construction Co.’s interiors division in New York City. Khendall had been a vice president, business development; Fine was a project executive and manager, business development.
 

GZA GeoEnvironmental Inc., Norwood, Mass., named Bradford W. Roberts to its board of directors. Overseeing the engineering and construction management firm’s contractor services division, he specializes in geotechnical engineering, non-destructive foundation testing and geotechnical instrumentation.

Tighe & Bond Inc., Worcester, Mass.,hired Keri Drake as director of marketing and communications. She manages the marketing and communications group and leads strategic marketing planning for the engineering and environmental services firm. Drake previously served as marketing director for Mikyoung Kim Design. Drake has been an Urban Land Institute marketing committee co-chair and involved in its women’s leadership initiatives.

Tighe & Bond also acquired Boston-based Halvorson Design, specializing in landscape architecture, planning and urban design. Robert Uhlig, Halvorson president and CEO, will continue to operate his firm under its existing name, and the firm’s leadership and staff will remain at its current Boston location.

Katharine E. Kohm has bee named partner at Pierce Atwood LLP.  Her practice focuses on construction law and business dispute resolution. Based in Providence, R.I.,Kohm also offers transactional services including contract negotiation, review and drafting. Before becoming a lawyer, she worked as a civil-environmental engineer.
 

Bob Hicks has joined Stantec as a senior project manager in the education practice. Located in the firm’s Boston office, he will be responsible for growing the higher education portfolio across the Northeast. He has been involved in projects for colleges and universities in the region, including Harvard, MIT, Wellesley, University of Massachusetts, Framingham State University, Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Providence College. Hicks previously was a principal at JCJ Architecture and a senior project manager/senior associate at SMMA | Symmes Maini & McKee Associates.

Fuss & O’Neill hired Samantha Godin as a project manager in the firm’s industry and utilities business line based in Quincy, Mass. Godin, who previously worked as a senior electrical engineer at BVH Integrated Services, has extensive experience in development of MEP and technology infrastructure and in  facility engineering and electrical system design.

Kliment Halsband Associates, New York City, has promoted Adam Richards. Bradley Sherburne and K.C. Underwood to associate. Most recently, Richards was project architect for the renovation and addition of Orange, N.J., High School. Sherbourne was project manager on several school renovation projects and is a member of the American Institute of Architects’ New York chapter planning and urban design committee. Underwood has led teams to complete over 4 million sq ft of educational projects, including a Net Zero middle school. He was president of AIA North Carolina eastern section and was on the chapter’s board.

Dattner Architects, New York City, has elevated Eric Epstein to principal of the 115-person firm.  He joined in  2008 and recent clients include NYC School Construction Authority, Catholic Charities Brooklyn & Queens, Yeshivah of Flatbush and Signature Urban Properties.

CHA Consulting Inc., the Albany, N.Y., consultant and construction management firm, says it has acquired CME Associates Inc., a transportation engineer based in Mansfield, Conn., with 85 employees in five offices and a focus on highway and bridge projects and expertise in accelerated bridge construction. No new CHA corporate titles for CME top executives were disclosed.
