Moss Construction veteran Mike Mazza has been promoted to president for the firm’s Texas region and will be responsible for all operations throughout the state. Additionally, Mazza will serve as president for the California, Hawaii and mid-Florida regions, and will oversee Moss’ national justice operations.

 

Environmental engineering and construction firm Brown and Caldwell, Dallas, has hired Adam Evans as vice president and area leader. Evans will direct project teams in the planning, design and construction of municipal water, wastewater and stormwater projects.

 

Brent HawleyTDIndustries has promoted Brent Hawley to Fort Worth vice president of new construction. He will continue to lead TD’s project management, production and estimating efforts while adding greater oversight of all new construction operations in Fort Worth. Hawley came to TD three years ago from Kansas City as operations manager for Fort Worth. TD has also promoted Chris Rogers to Fort Worth vice president of special projects. Rogers has been with the firm for 16 years and will continue to manage TD’s expansion, renovation and change-out projects in Fort Worth.

 

Heather DeLappFerrovial Construction, Dallas, has promoted Heather DeLapp to director of operational outreach in the U.S.  and Canada. DeLapp has served in public relations roles for the company since 2011.

 

Lisa LaCourPalmisano, New Orleans, has hired Lisa LaCour to join the leadership team as marketing leader. In this newly created role, LaCour will develop marketing and communications strategies focused on driving Palmisano’s growth and expansion across the region. LaCour previously served as vice president of marketing at Endeavor Audio in New York City.

 

AECOM has hired Nandita Kaundinya as a state business development lead for the North Texas transportation market, based in Dallas. Bringing 18 years of experience in civil, mechanical and industrial engineering to her new role, Kaundinya will grow the transportation business in Texas. Mark Roberts has joined AECOM as a program manager in its New Orleans office. Roberts has more than 25 years of experience in all phases of project development and has been an active member of the Society of American Military Engineers.

 

Vitali RuderVitali Ruder has joined Rosendin as a senior project manager in Austin. Ruder has more than 13 years of experience in the electrical construction industry. Matthew Suchomel has joined Rosendin as a senior project manager in Austin. Suchomel has more than 19 years of electrical construction experience.

 

Layle McKelveyManhattan Construction Co. has appointed Layle McKelvey as director of community relations and inclusion. While based in Houston, McKelvey will be engaged in serving all of Manhattan’s market areas nationally. In addition, Alan Dunnam was promoted to operations manager of Manhattan’s Houston region. In this role, Dunnam oversees construction quality, subcontractor management and safety program adherence. Dunnam joined Manhattan as a senior superintendent in 2015 and has 31-plus years of construction industry experience.

 

Stantec has expanded its team of water and geotechnical engineers in the Gulf Region with seven strategic hires. These additions strengthen the firm’s water practice. In Houston, new hires include Jose Aramburu as a geotechnical project manager; Raja Madyhannapu as a geotechnical engineer; and Myles McManus as a senior hydrology and hydraulics engineer.

In Dallas, Seyoum Asamenaw has joined the firm as a senior water resources engineer and David Lutz has joined as a geotechnical project manager.

Jeffrey Pena joins the firm as a principal and senior project manager in the Baton Rouge office, and Hilary Thibodeaux has joined Stantec as a principal and senior project manager in water and wastewater engineering out of the firm’s New Orleans office.

 

Sara AllenSundt Construction Inc. promoted Sara Allen to project controls manager and Joel Holcomb to project engineer in its Dallas-Fort Worth office. Sundt has also promoted Joseph Strub to preconstruction manager for the Texas district and has hired Jared Garrison as a field engineer in its San Antonio office.

 

Matt Griser has joined the Alston Construction team as preconstruction director. He will work in the Dallas office and oversee and facilitate preconstruction efforts. Griser brings more than 16 years of experience to his new role.

 

Seth AcklandKitchell is expanding its presence in Austin with the addition of Seth Ackland as a project director. He will focus on public-sector work for the company’s construction management practice, Kitchell CEM. Ackland brings 30-plus years of experience working on projects within higher education, municipal, aviation and transportation sectors, among others. He previously held executive positions with Austin-based White Construction and Hensel Phelps’ Austin office.

 

Jacob BalkeyJacob Balkey has been hired as director of operations at Longhorn Organics in Forney, Texas. He has more than 12 years of commercial construction experience and spent most of his career working for a Top Ten national general contractor in the Dallas area. Balkey will oversee the field operations for all projects to ensure each is operating within budget and schedule and to provide leadership to the field teams.

 

Yong GanPhiloWilke has hired Yong Gan as director of design. Gan brings more than 20 years of health care and health science project experience to his new role.

 

 


Bridgefarmer has hired William Pearce in its Austin office as quality manager. He brings more than 35 years of experience as a project manager, task leader and design engineer in transportation planning and PS&E design of urban and rural highways.

 

Aaron AndersonO’Connell Robertson announced a series of promotions. In the firm’s Austin office, four individuals were promoted to senior associate: Aaron Anderson, David Meyer, Casey Nicholson and Kim Pham. In San Antonio, Danny Cornejo and Misela Gonzales-Vandewalle were both promoted to senior associate.


 

Diana L. AguirreDiana L. Aguirre has been hired at Slack & Co. as controller, where she will provide oversight and management of the finance, accounting, and business operations. Aguirre has 16 years of financial experience and previously served as controller for Main Lane Industries, a subsidiary of mc2 Civil Inc., and as a financial analyst for Enterprise Products Partners and Enbridge Energy.

 

In Dallas, Chamberlin Roofing & Waterproofing has hired Connor Wiser as a project coordinator/estimator and Donnie Willey as a senior estimator. In Chamberlin’s Oklahoma office, Zach Ballew was hired as an estimator. The firm also announced two promotions: Heath Lenert was promoted to assistant project manager in Dallas and Albert Garcia was promoted to project accounting manager in Houston.

 

Ana Pinto-Alexander was recently named Healthcare Designer of the Year by Interior Design magazine. Pinto-Alexander is director of health interiors and principal at HKS. She leads the firm’s health interior design practice globally.

 

Gerald “Jerry” Gehm, principal and former managing director at Gensler Houston, has retired. Gehm joined Gensler in 2002, bringing his experience in base building renovations, building design consultation, interior architecture, mission-critical facilities and strategic facility planning. In 2018, Gehm was elevated into a new role as regional client relationship leader for Gensler’s south central region, comprised of the firm’s four Texas offices in Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio.
