Village East Park is a three-acre residential park built to showcase the unique vision of how play and gathering can help define a neighborhood. The park is a combination of natural play spaces, playground equipment, a ninja challenge course, open play space and gathering areas for picnics and barbecues. The park was constructed on a flat site built up to include multiple hills and offer a mountain-like feel.
The design incorporates natural elements and native grasses to mix traditional and nontraditional areas to create play spaces for everyone. Custom elements such as the stone scramble to the playground had to be built mostly as a design-build effort because the steppers were modified on site to meet the design intent.
