McCarthy Building Cos. promoted Matt McMullan from project director to vice president of operations in Atlanta. McMullan helped the firm grow its renewable energy group over the last five years.

The company also promoted Aaron Reddy from senior project manager to project director. He will focus on solar projects.

Eric Pyle of Bell & Associates Construction of Brentwood, Tenn., was promoted to lead the company’s building division. He started with Bell in 2007 as a project engineer.

Derick Thompson, formerly structural operations manager, was promoted to director in TLC Engineering Solution’s Orlando-based structural engineering operating group.

Katie Gower has joined Moss Construction’s Tampa office as business development director. Gower will lead the local office’s sales and client-relationship management as well as track new markets, develop strategic partnerships and guide long-term objectives.

Mark W. Fisher has joined the Raleigh headquarters of engineering and surveying firm McKim & Creed as a senior project manager specializing in water distribution, water transmission and wastewater conveyance. In this role, Fisher will manage pipeline and linear infrastructure projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
