EPS Group Inc., Mesa, Ariz., has named Robert Johnston as a partner and owner of the firm, effective Feb. 1. Johnston joined EPS Group in 2018 as the land survey department manager, bringing nearly 30 years of industry experience to his role.
Canyon State Electric, Phoenix, recently promoted Robert Hughes to vice president of operations and Andrew Pavey to senior project manager. Hughes joined CSE in 2014 as a project manager and most recently served as director of construction. Pavey started with the firm as a project manager in 2018.
The Raymond Group has promoted Alex Movel to vice president and area manager of the firm’s Las Vegas region. Movel assumes the responsibilities of Kim Lorch, who is set to retire on April 30 after 28 years with Raymond. Movel came up through the trades, joining Raymond in April 2005 as a project manager.
Jaime Northam has joined Ryan Cos. US as vice president of development, health care. She is based in the Phoenix office. Northam has 20 years of experience and previously served as senior vice president at Healthcare Trust of America Inc., a national health care real estate investment trust.
Phoenix-based Stevens-Leinweber Construction has promoted Erik Powell to vice president. SLC hired Powell in 2017 to launch its ground-up construction arm.
Mike Froelich has joined Haydon Building Corp., Phoenix, as water/wastewater director. Froelich has 34 years of experience in managing heavy civil construction. He previously served as senior project manager with Garney Construction in Houston.
Clint Sundt will serve as operations manager for Sundt Renewables, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sundt Construction in Phoenix that launched last year. He will oversee construction operations for the subsidiary’s growing portfolio of renewable power projects across the country. Sundt Construction also promoted Alex Charland to operations manager for its industrial group. Charland will be responsible for field and business operations for the group’s mining, power and process sectors.
Dan Casmer has joined AECOM’s Tucson office to lead the Arizona construction management (CM) practice. Casmer will be responsible for CM staff supervision, project execution, business development and delivery on key client CM project needs and initiatives.
The PENTA Building Group has promoted team members in its Phoenix and Las Vegas offices. Randy Nielson has been promoted to senior preconstruction manager in Phoenix. Nielson joined the firm in 2006. Andrea Pollock becomes a project manager in Las Vegas.
McCarthy Building Cos., Phoenix, has hired Virginia Brown as stormwater pollution prevention plan and vegetation senior manager for the renewable energy and storage group. Brown is an environmental soil scientist.
JE Dunn Construction recently promoted Cathy Hernandez and Philip Hensley at its Tempe, Ariz., office. Hernandez has been with JE Dunn for five years and was promoted to senior project coordinator. Hensley was promoted to project manager and will coordinate all JE Dunn and trade partner project tasks, beginning with preconstruction.
