Quadrangle Development Corp. is building 300 K St NW Mixed-Use Building at 300 K St NW, Mount Vernon Place. The $70-million, 14-story building will have three floors below grade and total 367,000 sq ft. The project will include 302 residential units and 58,000 sq ft of parking. Valor Development is building the LadyBird Residential Development at 4330 48th St NW. The up to $50-million project is expected to start on July 1 and consists of two structural steel buildings with four stories above grade and three below for a total of 310,000 sq ft. The University of Maryland is building the Interdisciplinary Engineering Building in College Park. Construction on the $160-million, 157,000-sq-ft facility is expected to start in August. The building is proposed to be six stories—with one below grade level—and will include offices, laboratories, a seminar room, classrooms, conference rooms, meeting rooms, study space and support spaces. The building will be designed and constructed to be adaptable to address future needs and will be accessed by a new service drive from Chemistry Lane.
