WSP USA has hired Nate Bryer and Craig Baxter to direct the firm’s new road usage charging (RUC) operations business, expanding on WSP’s already successful RUC strategic consulting portfolio. Bryer serves as vice president, senior director of RUC development, and Baxter is assistant vice president, director of RUC operations.
JVA Inc. has promoted Michael Katalinich to principal. The regional engineering manager for JVA’s environmental engineering team in Boulder, Colo., he has been with JVA since 2014. Ken Clifford has been promoted to senior associate at JVA. Clifford is currently a civil engineering senior project manager in JVA’s Boulder office and has been with JVA since 2013. Mandy Rasmussen has been promoted to senior associate at JVA. She is an environmental engineering senior project manager and the Fort Collins regional office manager. She has been with JVA since 2012 and part of JVA’s corporate management team since 2018. Christine Britton, Paul Stoffel and Lillian Tolve have been promoted to associate roles with the firm.
John Fatseas has joined Thornton Tomasetti’s Denver office as vice president. As head of the firm’s facade access team, he will work with clients and project partners on the development of facade access and maintenance strategies for new and existing buildings.
McCarthy Building Cos. has promoted water and wastewater expert Sagrado Sparks to vice president of operations for the company’s national water and wastewater group. In his new role, Sparks will oversee several water projects across Colorado. Sparks joined McCarthy’s water group in 2013 and has led water and wastewater construction projects across the country totaling more than $1.2 billion.
Zach Herrington is overseeing project delivery and construction for the Denver and Pacific Northwest offices of Burns & McDonnell. In his prior role, he led construction for the firm’s water and wastewater projects nationally. Dan Korinek manages the Denver and Pacific Northwest regions of Burns & McDonnell, leading a team of engineering and construction professionals and scientists, providing services to a broad range of communities, industries and companies. Korinek has spent his entire 34-year career at Burns & McDonnell.
Scott Bustos has been promoted to vice president, general manager of Turner Construction’s Denver office.
Jenna McElvain has joined Howell Construction as a project engineer. McElvain received her bachelor’s degree in construction management from Colorado State University and has experience working in land surveying as well as exposure to the industry through construction management internships. Leslie English joins Howell’s accounting department as a project accountant. She has worked as an accountant for local and regional contractors in the Denver market.
Engineering firm Olsson has appointed Josh Erramouspe as Colorado office leader. Erramouspe will oversee operations for all Olsson Colorado offices, including locations in Denver, Loveland and Colorado Springs. Erramouspe joined the firm in 2006 as an assistant engineer before serving as Olsson’s Colorado general civil team leader and Northern Colorado office leader.
Hord Coplan Macht has announced the retirement of Lee Coplan, the firm’s founder and CEO. Coplan has led the practice for four decades, bringing innovative design strategies and leadership to the architecture and design community, it says. Tim Barnhill, chief operating officer, will step into the CEO role.
