Vice President
Manhattan Construction Co.
The Tulsa area’s commercial construction market remains strong, with nearly all sectors experiencing an elevated volume of activity, says Haynie.
“The health care, industrial and mission-critical sectors are market leaders, while several new manufacturing projects in the Tulsa area are adding significant construction volume as well,” he says.
Developer-driven projects are continuing to move forward, he adds, with several entertainment and hospitality projects on the horizon.
“Our Native American clients have been expanding beyond traditional gaming projects and are actively building in nearly every sector with a concentrated focus on health care,” Haynie says.
The strong economic cycle in northeastern Oklahoma is creating opportunity for local trade partners, but record-low unemployment and a continued shortage of labor is limiting growth. “It is critical for preconstruction teams to be advocates for their clients in the marketplace by soliciting qualified trade partners while also closely monitoring the overall budget and schedule,” he says.
