A comprehensive modernization effort transformed the existing Logan K-8 and Memorial Prep campuses into a unified TK-12 complex for the San Diego Unified School District, completed in December 2022.

Spanning 300,000 sq ft, the project included extensive renovations and rebuilding efforts. Scope of work included a new TK-5th grade elementary school, a specialized 6th grade academy and a dedicated 7th and 8th grade campus featuring a modern two-story classroom building.

At the high school, construction included a gymnasium, an administration and library building, a new two-story classroom building and a specialized two-story locker/science building. Renovations to three existing buildings adjacent to Logan Avenue repurposed them into a theater, kitchen/cafeteria and dedicated spaces for career pathways education.

An extensive preconstruction effort helped the team eliminate the need for redesign and rework while also identifying constructibility efficiencies. As a result, 80% of the contingency was returned to the client.
