Over two years, the Archer Western Construction-led project team replaced the Camp Creek Water Reclamation Facility’s UV system while making significant upgrades to the UV channels, flow control and electrical and instrumentation systems. In addition, the project included the replacement of the existing 4,160V main plant high-voltage switchgear.

The project required replacement of UV systems in three channels along with the repair of three existing isolation gates. As part of the scope, the team also delivered a new UV electrical building to support the upgraded systems. Crews also replaced an existing main high voltage distribution center to enhance overall power distribution and reliability.

On bid day, the project exceeded the owner’s budget by more than 10%. Archer Western collaborated with the owner and the designer to assess value engineering options. Ultimately, the effort successfully reduced costs and ensured the project remained within the owner’s original budget and schedule without compromising quality or performance.
